The second NCAA Men’s and Women’s Division I Golf Championships to be hosted at Grayhawk Golf Club wrapped up June 1, 2022, with one more to go in 2023:  women May 21-26 and men May 28-June 2.

Texas Wins Team Championship

Texas Longhorns defeated Arizona State 3-2 for the program’s fourth title, driven by big wins from seniors Parker and Pierceson Coody as well as junior Travis Vick, who clinched the championship.

“It’s hard to put into words what this feels like,” Vick said. “It’s been such a long road, going through a lot of adversity as a team. We had a target on our back, so to be able to get it done is truly special.” Read more…

Sargent Wins Individual Championship

Vanderbilt’s Gordon Sargent didn’t make a birdie all day – until the first hole of the sudden-death playoff to settle the individual title for the 2022 NCAA Men’s Golf Championship. Memorial Day afternoon, he stuffed his approach to five feet to capture medalist honors only minutes after making his 14th par to end regulation play in a four-way tie for first place. Stanford Wins — Both!

Women’s Team Championship

Stanford Women’s Golf won the 2022 NCAA Women’s Golf Championship in an impressive 3-2-0 win over the Oregon, despite the Duck’s best efforts to pull back into the match after a tepid start.

Women’s Individual Championship

Rose Zhang held on to win the 2022 NCAA Women’s Golf Individual Championship. The Cardinal freshman cruised to victory at -6, three ahead of Natasha Andrea Oon (-3) of San Jose State.

NCAA Championship News – 1st Round Recap

Sun Devils finished inside the coveted Top-15 after the first round. They’re in 13th place, after battling windy conditions to finish strong. Olivia Mehaffey is in the Top-20 after the initial day of her fourth NCAA Championship. ANNIKA Award Final Watch List member and WGCA Player of the Year candidate Linn Grant had bright spots in her debut as the No. 1-ranked golfer, sitting comfortably in the top half of the field.

Raptor Course: NCAA Golf Championship Venue

The championship is contested on Grayhawk Golf Club’s Tom Fazio-designed Raptor Course. Since Raptor’s debut in 1995, it has hosted several professional and top amateur golf tournaments including the PGA TOUR’s Open (2007-2009), Pro-Ams for the WM Phoenix Open (1996 to 2012), Tommy Bahama Challenge (2004 & 2005), AJGA Thunderbird International Junior (2000-2019) and PGA Jr. League Championship through 2022.
