It was a sign of good things to come for team Georgia when they bounced back from a stinging loss to New York to upset an undefeated California team to capture the Wanamaker Division and a birth into the championship match. They moved on to top team Texas 7-5 in the finals to claim the 2019 PGA Jr. League Championship presented by National Car Rental on Monday, October 14.

The final round of the Thunderbird International Junior concluded with two first-time invitational champions. William Mouw of Chino, California, went wire-to-wire to win his second tournament in the past month to become the Boys Champion. And, Alexa Melton of Covina, California, came from behind to win in the Girls Division.
As it reaches a momentous milestone, the Thunderbird International Junior teed off this morning with 78 players from around the world, Boys and Girls ages 12-19, representing 16 states and 12 countries. They’ll be playing for top honors in one of junior golf’s most prestigious tournaments.
Grayhawk Golf Club is set to host the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Division I Golf Championships for three consecutive years beginning in May 2020. College golf teams are already taking a sneak peek.
