A nationwide field made up of more than 200 boys and girls representing 31 different high school golf teams gathered in Scottsdale, August 24-26, to compete in the 2023 Brophy Rodeo presented by PING.

“The Rodeo is a great way to promote high school golf on the elite venue that just hosted the NCAA Golf Championships,” said Jon Shores, tournament director and Brophy College Preparatory Golf head coach. “We want the Rodeo to offer students from across the country a memorable experience of playing high school golf, in hopes that they might continue playing at the next level.”

Brophy College Preparatory meant business at this year’s rodeo showdown. Brophy senior Tyler Spielman fired off a 6-under-par 66 on Friday followed up with a 1-under round on Saturday at the Talon Course to help the Broncos defend home turf and claim the team title. Brophy (591) defeated local rival Hamilton (593) and Ironwood Ridge (595) took third.
