April 1, 2024
Dear Members and Friends,
For the sixth year in a row, we are excited to amplify our partnership between Arcis Golf and Els for Autism Foundation®. The month of April is World Autism Month. In the spirit of supporting a cause near and dear to both of us, we are launching a month-long fundraising campaign – “Round Up 4 Els for Autism®” – with proceeds benefiting the charity.
Across nearly 70 Arcis Golf facilities, members and patrons can easily “Round Up” to the nearest dollar on pro shop merchandise, food and beverage, and golf. Additionally, for those who wish to contribute more, charitable donations beyond the “round up” amount will be welcomed during transactions. Our facilities are also open to hosting Els for Autism Affiliate Events, such as golf tournaments, fun runs, and more.
The Els for Autism Foundation was founded in 2009, shortly after Ernie and Liezl’s son Ben was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), which affects 1 in 36 individuals in the U.S. Their global mission is to transform the lives of people with autism and those who care for them through lifetime services and collaborative partnerships. The opening of the Stoops Family Adult Services Building at the Els Center of Excellence® signals a momentous stride forward in providing innovative opportunities for adults with autism. This milestone holds profound significance for both Blake and Ernie. This year, Els for Autism has partnered with Arcis Golf through U Can Employ™, advancing efforts to foster inclusivity in the workplace.
This year’s fundraising endeavors are particularly significant as the foundation strives to maintain its leadership in transdisciplinary programs tailored to individuals with ASD, develop employment training models accommodating diverse abilities across various industries, conduct and disseminate research on evidence-based interventions, ensure long-term sustainability, and attract and retain top-tier staff. With the prevalence of autism on the rise, the demand for state-of-the-art programs and services throughout individuals’ lifespans remains critical.
We encourage you to join us during April to support World Autism Month and “Round Up” to help us make a difference and a better future for individuals and families impacted by autism.
