The LPGA Kroger Queen City Championship returns for its third year, but with a new venue. This event, featuring 144 golfers competing for a $2 million purse, is being held for the first time at the Arnold Palmer-designed TPC River’s Bend in Maineville, Ohio. This prized Arcis Golf property will be in the national spotlight from September 16-22. As a key stop on the LPGA Tour, the event attracts many top players vying for a title and valuable points in the season-long race to the CME Globe.
TPC River’s Bend, which opened in 2001, is owned by Arcis Golf, the second-largest owner and operator of private, resort, and daily-fee golf facilities in the United States, including Grayhawk Golf Club. TPC River’s Bend is no stranger to professional golf tournaments, having hosted the PGA Tour Champions’ Kroger Classic (2002-2004), the Korn Ferry Tour’s Chiquita Classic (2010-2015), and the EPSON Tour’s Prasco Charity Championship (2018, 2019, 2021).
Given the course’s history of hosting large-scale events and its championship layout, this promises to be a can’t-miss stop on the LPGA Tour for both players and fans.
The field includes popular names from the LPGA Tour, such as Nelly Korda, Anna Nordqvist, Lydia Ko, Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson, and Rose Zhang, former back-to-back NCAA Division 1 Women’s Golf medalist here at Grayhawk Golf Club.
We are excited to see Arcis Golf showcase the best female golfers on a national stage as the opening round kicks off. Tune in to the Golf Channel from 1-4 p.m. EDT today through Sunday.
In August, Arcis Golf hosted the PGA TOUR Champions’ Boeing Classic in the Pacific Northwest at The Club of Snoqualmie Ridge. The golf course management company helped raise money for charities, including the Els for Autism Foundation, from this successful event. Congratulations to Arcis for continuing to demonstrate excellence in hosting championship golf events.
