Still feeling the sting of the cancellation of the 2020 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Golf Championship, the tournament hosts gathered at Grayhawk Golf Club for a special event to, first, honor what didn’t happen, and second, celebrate the next two championships still to come.

Held May 27, 2020 – the day the champions on the women’s side would have been crowned – speakers at the event included:  Chance Cozby, executive director of The Thunderbirds; Missy Farr-Kaye and Matt Thurmond, ASU women’s and men’s head golf coaches; and Gregg Tryhus, president of Grayhawk Development.

Each emphasized their appreciation for the partnership that brought the event to the Valley of the Sun as well as their enthusiasm for the 2021 tournament, just one year away.
